BIKES
I've been fascinated with and passionate about mountain biking since i got my first real mountain bike in high school. While like most kids I grew up riding my bike around the neighborhood, I didn't really find my deep interest in it until college. I started riding with friends on local trails, and gradually my career choice started melding with my hobby and I've wanted to pursue building bikes ever since.
I currently manage the R&D Team at Niner Bikes, while also serving as the Senior Design Engineer. The projects I’m working on aren’t currently in the public eye, but I’ll update this page as soon as I can share the stoke!
Custom Parts
I started Quiver Design Works as a way to have an outlet for my bike and fabrication interests. So far that’s included some custom furniture work, but primarily focused on the components I designed for my personal frames and offering those parts to other builders.
I’ve partnered with Devin Bodony at Lichen Precision for manufacturing my parts and we’ve also worked to offer the parts to other builders.
We both are passionate about bikes. Devin’s history and experience in the production environment blended really well with my experience on the Design and Engineering side of things.
Our current custom part line up includes the following:
QDW-Yoke – Machined from 1019 cold roll steel, designed to allow for a 27.5 Plus x 3.0” or 29 x 2.5” Tire with 420mm stays (less if plus fitment isn’t required). Maintaines clearance for a 34T Chainring based around boost spacing and standard 73mm Bottom Bracket.
QDW/Ventana Slider Dropouts – After some discussions with Ventana Bikes, we got permission to use their dropout inserts and make a steel hooded receiver. Only hooded steel rocker style dropout out there right now that will be available to frame builders.
QDW Fixed Drops – 12 mm through axle fixed dropouts with options for desired brake system. Flat mount, Iso, or post mount options
